Process
Loft conversion/extension process

Once you know the basis of the building work you require please contact us.
We can arrange for a suitable time to view. Should you need help with your design, we are more than happy to assist you. Once the design is agreed the next stage is:
Preparing the necessary plans for building control, they monitor the work during the build. Should structural calculations be required we will then send a copy of the plans to an engineer to add the necessary structural details. We will send the plans to the council for approval, the plans will also be submitted to the planning department, if full planning is required. Further details would be added by us, should planning permission be required. We will also fill all the appropriate and necessary forms. During this stage, we will act as your agent throughout the whole process. This enables you to save time and the need for you to relay any queries back to us.
During the actual work: This would be carried out by my colleague and myself. This ensures that you won't have a number of different people working at your house. If your property is having an extension built, then additional help will be used for the groundwork/shell construction. Throughout the building work, the building inspector will come and check the work during different stages to ensure that the building work is adhered to according to the plans. After completion of your works a 'completion certificate' will be issued and posted to yourselves from the local authority.
Note: By preparing the plans and carrying out the building work ourselves, this eliminates any possible confusion or additional costs should any discrepancies occur during the work. We will work to plans you may already have but you run the risk if during the build any discrepancies arise.
